This nomad rug has beautiful red and brown colors with finest soumak embroideries. The wool of this Kurdish carpet is 100% hand spun and it has 100% natural dyes. Having around 60 years old, this unique tribal rug should be seen as a beautiful artistic expression.
Bahtiyar rugs (or Bakhtiyari rugs) are originally made by Kurdish nomads as saddle bags. After being used for few years as saddle bags, nomads opens them to use these rugs in as a floor rug or within their tents.
