This rug is embroidered using a technique similar to the Soumak technique. This means that it was first weaved as a simple kilim and then embroidered using needles. This needle technique is called soumak rugs (also known as Sumak) technique and is very specific to nomads or tribes.

The wool used on this rug is 100% hand spun wool and the colors were dyed using natural dyes.
